Less than 0.1 again!

Great news, and I don't have to see the doctor again until May.

Congratulations for the results.
Do you have the exact figures under 0.1?

Thanks.

My doctor is prescribing the standard PSA assay, which only goes down to 0.1. That's fine with me. I am definitely prone to PSA anxiety. Let's say my number, on the ultra-sensitive test, is 0.03 one time, then 0.04, then 0.05, then 0.02--I'd be going crazy for no reason.

Patrick Walsh has written about this in his book--and there's another version of the same argument here (scroll down on the page: "PSA Anxiety--the Downside of Ultrasensitive Tests"

There are others who would strongly disagree, and say the more information, the better.

To each his own--for me, I've got the right level of information.
